yeah, sure is. ocelot has a more detailed kind of fur colouring, savannah cat is to small, cheetah has different skull structure (and is taller if adult) and genet looks way to different. can only be a serval.
savannah cats are too small? do you know how big they can get? They can weigh up to 30 pounds. so this can easily be one. i think it is, the serval has bigger ears…
It’s actually not.
It’s a Savannah Cat.
A Serval’s tail is shorter and thicker than a Savannah Cat. The cat in the gif has a long and skinny tail.

My knowledge. I’ve been obssesed with cats since elementary school… it’s sad really. Half of my t-shirts have cats on it and everyone calls me the weird cat lady. D:
fail. it is serval. you’re no cat lover if you can’t see how HUGE this “kitty” is. plus anatomy (long lengs~check, long body~check, typical head and ears~check)
A lion? Ummmmmm, Check your source on that. I see the fact that it COULD NOT be a lioness or lion. The cat in the video would have to be
a) a lighter gold color and b) not spotted to be a lioness, and also have a mane to be a lion. so check your logic there, because that is clearly not
“obviously a lion”.
It is a baby Longus Leapus Intous Faceus or Tabletop Cat for short. This species is a native of the Longcat (as MD said it was) that evolves by leaping onto Faces of Humans!
This Species is becoming extinct, glad this family has one!
Bengals are actually quite a big smaller than this cat because the wildcat they were mixed with was not as large in comparison as the serval is to domestic cats. They also lack the huge ears on this guy, and have “normal” cat faces, rather than the elongated face we see here.
Just because a Savannah is a house cat and the rest are not, does not mean that it’s a Savannah. SEVERAL people have special permits to own non-domestic cats. And several own them illegally. But that does not seem the case here.
im fairly sure it could be a non house cat cause some ppl like on animal planet raise wild cats in homes. like to raise them or somthing then put them in the wild
It’s a Serval – I should know, I’m a crazy cat lady in training! It could be a very early generation Savannah, but this guy seems pretty big, and from what I can see his markings are well defined. I’m betting on a full blooded Serval.
I’m just gonna vote Serval a bunch of times until it out numbers the Ocelot votes (LOL JK ). It’s as if no one’s ever seen an Ocelot. THAT IS NOT AN OCELOT. And an OCECAT is NOT in anyway wild. It was only named Ocecat because of it’s Ocelot like APPEARANCE.
It is SO not a serval. The servals face is much different. This cat’s face is much more domestic, and the coat pattern does not even remotely match. Neither does the coat texture.
It’s most lokely a Serval, or a first generation savannah cat, but my money is on Serval, due to the size. Savannah cats are smaller, since they’re half regular domestic cat.
It’s not an Ocelot. They’ve got a different body shape and head shape, and the coat pattern is different. Ocelots are smaller and “stubbier” than Servals, which in turn have proportionally longer legs.
its actually called a “Savanah Cat” a few years ago some breeders bred an african serval cat to a normal house cat and got this cat. Something interesting about it is its illegal to have one in some states.
But yes, it is a Savanah Cat.
Look at the short tail and ENORMOUS SIZE; it can’t be anything but a serval or MAYBE an F1 savannah.
Yeah, the Ashera’s big, but not as big as a serval, the face in no way resembles a serval’s, the tail is FAR too long, and the markings aren’t nearly distinct enough.
Ocicats are much smaller than that, do NOT have those giant ears, nor the very obviously not a domestic cat face. It’s either a Serval or early generation Savannah. Google images is your friend.
It’s a serval. bengal cat is much larger, lynx are larger too, not an ocecat either because those have more muscled legs. For those of you who said it was NOT a serval because it had too different markings, all cat markings are the same, and these markings fall in the serval’s marking catagory. What now. :3
It’s a serval. It can’t be an ocelot, as the ears aren’t big enough. It isn’t a Savannah Cat because the facial structure isn’t right. A savannah cat has too much of a domestic cat’s face.
I own a bengal and it’s not a bengal, bengals are way smaller than servals. Was close to getting a serval and that’s what this is, I have a picture on my phone of one. It’s a Serval, case closed.
It is a rare breed, that is still mostly wild, and originally bred from an ocelot and a common house cat. It is very expensive, and should be let outside, in an inclosed area, preferably w/ many wild plants and hunting toys. Live party mice are only a couple of bucks at Petco and work very well, too, or just feeder rats if you want to spare the cute ones.
(sorry to all the mouse enthusiasts out there, I figure you should use hunting toys if you want to spare the meices:])
serval no doubt about it.
it’s a bird
yeah, sure is. ocelot has a more detailed kind of fur colouring, savannah cat is to small, cheetah has different skull structure (and is taller if adult) and genet looks way to different. can only be a serval.

Actually it is. I can see three of them whenever I want.
I’m the male version of you :/ It’s rough being a guy and liking cats :/ But at least no one calls me a crazy cat lady
fail. it is serval. you’re no cat lover if you can’t see how HUGE this “kitty” is. plus anatomy (long lengs~check, long body~check, typical head and ears~check)

more fail. check the anatomy. this is a serval. use uncle google if you don’t belive me
Savannah cat.
on the left is a savannah and on the right is a serval.
http://www.savannahcatsdownunder.com.au/Pictures/Savannah%20and%20Serval.jpg
Yep. My mom breeds them. They’re called the poor man’s cheetah, so I can understand the confusion.
Clearly, this is one of two breeds.
Most likely, it is a fine specimen of a longcat.
If not, then it is obviously a lion, and all present would do well to get themselves into the safe confines of an automobile.
It doesnt matter what VT says in response to this. They’re wrong.
You’re right!
mnnnn…. tasty paradox circle… nomnomnom
Ahahahaha….well played.

Also check your grammar.
JESUS CHRIST ITS A LION!!! GET IN TEH CAR!!!1!11!!!one!!!1!!!
“Long cat” and “Get in the car” didn’t tip you off?
Check your lolcats. The logic in that post was fine.
Thx polio. Glad to know it wasn’t me lol. Pro Tip: Steer clear of Salk.
It is a baby Longus Leapus Intous Faceus or Tabletop Cat for short. This species is a native of the Longcat (as MD said it was) that evolves by leaping onto Faces of Humans!
This Species is becoming extinct, glad this family has one!
That is a serval. The only other thing it could possibly be would be a savannah cat.
Maybe it’s a bengal.
As in the cat breed.
Bengals are actually quite a big smaller than this cat because the wildcat they were mixed with was not as large in comparison as the serval is to domestic cats. They also lack the huge ears on this guy, and have “normal” cat faces, rather than the elongated face we see here.
*bit… I r canz spels tudae!
Its one of those crossbred cats they bred a few years ago.
Yes, it’s an bengal I’m pretty sure.
Its fur pattern is the same as a bengal my sister has, so yea.. PRETTY darn sure
Face shape is wrong, ear shape/size is wrong, and sheer size is wrong for a bengal cat.
I haven’t heard of a serval, but I thought it was a Bengal.
Yes, But a savannah cat is the only one out of those that is actually a type of house cat. Y’all suck
Just because a Savannah is a house cat and the rest are not, does not mean that it’s a Savannah. SEVERAL people have special permits to own non-domestic cats. And several own them illegally. But that does not seem the case here.
You should have said SERVAL people.
im fairly sure it could be a non house cat cause some ppl like on animal planet raise wild cats in homes. like to raise them or somthing then put them in the wild
It’s totally a bird
that is one f-d up looking bird….
It’s a Serval – I should know, I’m a crazy cat lady in training! It could be a very early generation Savannah, but this guy seems pretty big, and from what I can see his markings are well defined. I’m betting on a full blooded Serval.

Ocicat, though.
I would put money that it is a Savannah
I’d take that bet, and would totally be taking your money =P, it’s a Serval

Notice the defined spots on the legs that look kinda like a face and the really long ears.
It is SO not a serval. The servals face is much different. This cat’s face is much more domestic, and the coat pattern does not even remotely match. Neither does the coat texture.
Actually, the coat pattern matches fine, and the face is definitely more wildcat than domestic.
I don’t care what kind of cat it is. All I care about is that I want to have one!
Could be an Ashera, which is basically a trademarked Savannah cat anyhow
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashera
Jaguatirica
It’s a Bengal, they’re so pretty =)
I’m sorry, but you’re all mistaken.
That is most clearly a tigger; how else could it jump so well?
It’s most lokely a Serval, or a first generation savannah cat, but my money is on Serval, due to the size. Savannah cats are smaller, since they’re half regular domestic cat.
It’s not an Ocelot. They’ve got a different body shape and head shape, and the coat pattern is different. Ocelots are smaller and “stubbier” than Servals, which in turn have proportionally longer legs.
statue cat pounces! get it? cause it looks like a statue at first
The spots don’t look like a Serval, and the eyes look too small to be an ocelot… I say Savannah. Those things can get GIGANTIC.
its actually called a “Savanah Cat” a few years ago some breeders bred an african serval cat to a normal house cat and got this cat. Something interesting about it is its illegal to have one in some states.
But yes, it is a Savanah Cat.
Looks like a bobcat.
Bobcats tend to… yaknow… have bobbed tails? And long fur? And an entirely different face and body structure?
http://blog.ctnews.com/connecticutpostings/files/2010/01/Bobcat_04.jpg
It’s a house ornament brought to life by MAGIC!!!!
It’s full, after eating the cameraman.
It’s an Ashera. 25k $ cat
http://www.google.com/images?um=1&hl=fr&tbs=isch%3A1&sa=1&q=ashera+cat&aq=f&aqi=g1&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=
It’s either a Savannah cat, or a Bengal Cat. It’s too small for me an ocelot, Ocelots have broader shoulders.
It’s an Ashera cat.
It’s a Hobbes!!!
Look at the short tail and ENORMOUS SIZE; it can’t be anything but a serval or MAYBE an F1 savannah.

That is definitely a Serval. No doubt.
its a serval. Anyone who thinks its an ocelot doesn’t know their cats :/
Its an Ocecat (domesticated mix breed of ocelot).
Ocicats are much smaller than that, do NOT have those giant ears, nor the very obviously not a domestic cat face. It’s either a Serval or early generation Savannah. Google images is your friend.
Serval. Obvious. To all you who voted ocelot, you fail. Epically.
http://www.recordsburpee.com/images/serval_cat.JPG
Thats a Tigrillo mi buen hombre
Serval. I own one. Unmistakably a Serval
Just as a curve ball what about an Egyptian Mau? the markings are pretty distinct
This is clearly a Serval. The tail is too short to be a Savannah Cat.
Its a serval, reason is behaviour of its owner.
Towel on top of cupboard, sparse decorations, and playful pounce at cameramans hand – almost certainly a serval.
on the left is a savannah and on the right is a serval
http://www.savannahcatsdownunder.com.au/Pictures/Savannah%20and%20Serval.jpg
I thought it may have actually been an Ashera cat http://www.lifestylepets.com/ but not really sure :/
It’s a Bengal. My mommy told me so. TwT End of discussion.
Serval
it’s a savannah cat. serval’s have black around there nose. while similar, they are not the same. ocelots look different too.
Definitely a Serval.
IT’S A SERVAL.
its a linx.
No, it’s a longcat. jeez, you guys dont know anything -_-
This is most definitely a Serval. It looks exactly like one.
it could be a bengal cat, which is a domestic breed crossed with an asian leopard
http://animal.discovery.com/breedselector/catprofile.do?id=1050
i say that because it is in a house, it would be pretty hard to get one of those other cats to do that without ripping your face off
It’s a leopard cat, but probably a bengal, seeing as it is hard to have Leopard Cats as pets.
I think that door is 22 inches wide.
It’s a serval. bengal cat is much larger, lynx are larger too, not an ocecat either because those have more muscled legs. HUNTER!!!!!
Not a cat.
It’s a ninja in a cat suit. Problem solved.
http://img.metro.co.uk/i/pix/2007/10/asheraSWNS_450x301.jpg
its ashera, most expensive cat
It is a rare breed, that is still mostly wild, and originally bred from an ocelot and a common house cat. It is very expensive, and should be let outside, in an inclosed area, preferably w/ many wild plants and hunting toys. Live party mice are only a couple of bucks at Petco and work very well, too, or just feeder rats if you want to spare the cute ones.

It kinda looks like leopard…
Bengal
Definitely looks like a Bengal to me
It’s not. Either a Serval or a Savannah Cat.
