Call me pedantic but regarding some of the comments on this..
It is a terrapin not a turtle but I can let that go. The plastic vessel is a basin not a bucket.
And for a turtle (terrapin) the final scenario being covered by the upturned basin wouldn’t really be a problem, it would just drag the basin along until it hit an obstacle at which point it could tip the basin up enough to get out.
Or he could just wait for his three ninja buddies to rescue him.

actually- it’s like saying it’s not a bird, it’s a bird of prey. less specific, since it’s a terrapin as opposed to a snapping turtle or seaturtle or tortoise.
