When you look closely… this video is completely staged. The person in the tub has a camera (which is weird… it’s not exactly natural), and the cat lurches a couple of times as it’s being pulled into the water with thin wire.
Totally true, Joe. Now that you mention it, I realize why it didn’t quite look right. Now I do. The cat was being pulled into the tub. Now I wish the one recording it WAS scratched the F up. It’d be hilarious if the cat did it on its own, but now I can tell it’s a setup. >:(
No one has identified any part of the cat that was subject to externally applied tension or force, as would be necessary if it were being pulled. However, a hint of moving cat tongue seems visible in a few early frames, leading to a plausible explanation.
Cat sometimes drink from full tub. Owner decides “hey, let’s film this”. Thin ledge of tub is very precarious and slippery. Cat lurches a couple of times as it tries to regain balance, to no avail. The video clip omits the footage of the drinking to emphasize the more hilarious footing fail and flailing.
ICK! this water is wet!

And poor kitteh! : (
i feel sorry for the folks that have to put up with the wet cat smell now

Oh god I can barely type this I am laughing too hard
Am I the only one who thinks the cat looks kinda like one of those things out of Aliens when it runs away?
It was the first thing I thought after the first run through.
so, cats are really smart
cats like to chill in the tub when they’re empty…
…whiskers thought this one was empty, apparently…
why were you filming when you were in the bathtub?
It’s Japan… who knows why they do half of what they do (You can tell by the bathroom)
I love how it puts half its head uder water and then starts panicking.
My mother’s cat did worse. He didn’t realize that bathtubs are sometimes full of water and did his usual thing of jumping in with his ball to play.
DOES NOT WANT!
Lucky the camera person didn’t get all scratched up.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
I totally had a cat do that once. It was hillarious.
Thats just so lovely that everyone on here thinks animal cruelty is SO HILARIOUS! You are all a bunch of pathetic A*s Holes.
You, sir, are a moron!
My cat is always in the sink & licking the taps
