  8. It’s a Geneva mechanism used in film projectors. I’m not sure what makes it zen, though.

    Funny, I assumed it was called “zen” in the sense of peaceful coexistance, ie. the six pointed star and the moon-star symbols (judaism and islam, respectively) working in harmony. But maybe I’m overanalyzing.

    This is used in a camera. Its for making the film stop and move, stop and move. In real, its a lot faster so you get to the 30 fps…
