One of the scariest and funniest things I ever saw. During a school trip to the Toronot Zoo. One of my classmates thought it would be a good idea to press his face against the glass of the lion enclosure. When the large male lion leap at and hit the glass there was mayhem. My classmate ran, jumped and ran like hell. I can still see the glass rippling from the impact of the lion. E. DeLong…you’re lucky to be alive.

Actually, the lion enclosure at the Toronto zoo includes a large window at ground level. The male lion is often sleeping with his butt pressed up against the glass/plastic(?) giving all the kids a good view of his fuzzy nuts.
Probably thinking that he could escape.

The best part about that original video was when the mother afterwards told her crying toddler that “The lion was just trying to give you a kiss!” way to go, mum.. In the original video, it doesn’t seem like the lion hit the glass. More like he jumped up to check things out real quick.

I remember that at the zoo the pumas would always lock on to whoever looked the most vulnerable. They would just pace back and forth, never taking their eyes off of them.
I’ve seen the exact same thing. A pair of cougars at the zoo were looking quite bored when a kid in a wheelchair rolled by. They perked right up and tracked that kid. It was creepy…
would that mean if you were a fat guy humping the glass it would get annoyed and rip off your crouch?
