It’s fake because airbags deploy on deceleration, you could hit the front of the har with a sledgehammer airbag still wouldn’t deploy.
Try again. Older cars have the crash sensors in front, just behind the bumper, and a solid impact in the right place can do the trick. They’re pretty sensitive, which is one of the reasons you should always disconnect your battery before working under the hood (resetting your clock = easier than shelling out $400).
