It reminds me of blue or black goldstone. (Strongly tinted glass with glitter in it, basically.) But so much prettier.
Used to have night skies like this at my home. City expansion has pretty much destroyed that view.

I guess I take it for granted because every clear night I can see the milky way. Its not as bright as it is in that picture but I can still see it from outside my house.
If I can be bothered to walk the 1 or 2 miles to get completely away from the village/town then I get a sight like in that photo
I can see the Milky Way on a clear night at my house (ten miles out of town, away from all the lights), but it’s never THIS clear. Was this vid taken from space or something?
