Fake! If the Lego man truly was in space, he would have been molten on the other side while being deep frozen on the other, probably breaking him or at least making him very brittle.
They skipped frames, but what he meant was that out of the atmosphere, the side exposed to the sunlight would reach 300ºc while the dark side would be frozen near the absolute 0 (something like -250ºc)
But the thing didn’t reach LEO, it was still in the high atmosphere.
but FAKE, the flag wasn’t waving it was stiff! it should have been almost tearing up during the ascent, and totally flat once in the high atmosphere!
OMG!! You mean someone actually posted something fake on the internet? NOOOOO!!! How did this happen? Where were you? Why aren’t you protecting us from this?
I laugh at the (undeservedly) arrogant Canadians who take pride in this having sent a Lego man up. Send a real person up without hitchhiking on someone else’s ride, then give us a call, eh? :>
i love that you don’t realize the majority of the space shuttle was made in Canada and was fueled buy Canadian oil, take your head out of your asses every now and again and you may see something beyond your borders.
The majority of the space shuttle boom was made in Canada… as far as the rest of the shuttles (plural), they were made in the US. And please don’t give me that crap that the fuel is Canadian…

^ totally this
If a rocket would propell up at such speed it would burn in teh atmosphere
Can’t tell if trolling or just stupid
It was propelled into the atmosphere by a helium weather balloon; they can reach altitudes of 100 000 feet
You can even see them filling up the balloon at the beginning of the GIF. I’ll never truly understand the depths of human stupidity.
maybe glue work…

The flag is a hard piece of plastic.
it was a plastic flag, not a real cloth flag. Of course it wasn’t waving.
Fear not, good sir, for I saw what you did there.
Wow, you guys are smart. Do you work for NASA, or something?

Fake! If Lego man truly was in space, he couldn’t breathe and would have suffocated, or at least passed out dropping the flag.
Not really in space, not even out of the atmosphere even. They made it to 80,000 feet (about 24 km); space “officially” starts at 100 kilometers.
Wow, defiantly Google Earth; you can see the buildings instantly become flat after liftoff.

You are both idiots….
It’s real. We aren’t seen the entire video in this GIF. It’s only a few pics taken out to make the GIF. Come on guys.
*seeing
yeah, rebelliously and stubbornly Google Earth.
I see what you did there…
Its nice to see the advancements being made in Canadian space travel.
^ THIS!
I laugh at the jelly Americans thinking this is fake simply because the lego man isn’t holding an American flag.
No, our flag in on the moon.
this^
so is mine, but just on the dark side of the moon, that’s why you don’t see mine. and America is a continent.

That’s funny, I thought it was Bulgaria that sent the first manned(by a cat) flight to mars?
Get YOUR facts straight.
So Canadian LEGO?
Krulin is stupid troll
You can even see them filling up the balloon at the beginning of the GIF. I’ll never truly understand the depths of human stupidity.
Damn Canada trying to win space race while nobody racing!
LEGO, going where no toy has gone before.
Hells yes, lego is so epic.
SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!
it may be fake, but WOOO!! go canada!
the one and only Canadian Astronaut
Nice attempt at Trolling, but -1 Internets for being too obviously
That’s one small step for [a] Canadian, one giant leap for Canadian kind.
We need to hitch rides with others now, too, BTW.
Totally real and congratulations kids who did it.
