  1. sj says:

wait, I saw the original video on here somewhere. wasn’t it a power plant malfunction?

  2. frensj says:

I’ve seen something very similar once, here in Belgium. It had to do with snow causing a short circuit in a transformator or something like that.

Mind that afterwards the street lanterns are not working anymore.

    • Shanktastic says:

Street lights stopped working because they were using a light sensor. Notice in the long form video found below that they start to flicker back on.

Mysterious explosion? It was a power station that blew up!

  7. Map says:

Yes… power plant. It’s a perfect cover for their top secret quantum laser missile program. Also, rays. And quarks. And it causes implosions, because implosions are more hip than explosions.

  8. Le Toophle says:

    Russia is powered by explosions?

    • Trll says:

Unless you’re trolling, the rest of the world goes by the format of DD/MM/YYYY.

      • James Dean says:

Actually I am pretty sure that most of the world goes by MM/DD/YYYY, the same as most of the world uses the metric system opposed to the english or standard system. And I believe a lot of the world uses military time, no AM or PM like the US uses, it leaves less room for error or mixing up times.

        • Phoenix says:

A lot of the world uses MM/DD/YYYY, many countries (not just the US) uses DD/MM/YYYY, and a few Asian countries actually use YYYY/DD/MM.

      • me says:

Dumb American is dumb… Go figure.

  15. trollolo says:

I love how everyone just keeps driving. “Explosion? Eh. Could be worse.”

  16. Trll says:

Where’s the shockwave? Something that huge there should have been a big boom.

    • SlickBackBigMac says:

that’s what i was thinking.. some kind of noise or something

      • Other People says:

No, no shock wave, it just looked huge cause it was electrical and generated some extremely bright light. It looked a little hazy out too, so a bright flash would have looked even bigger than normal.

  17. ghoulglum says:

I’d be rather alarmed if I were driving towards that.

  18. arieas says:

On a related note, this is pretty strange
